Malaga’s midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ignacio-Camacho-c16660, believes his team can overcome AC Milan when they face them in the Champions League on Tuesday night
The Andalusians suffered their first defeat at home to Rayo Vallecano on Saturday in the Primera Division. They are hoping to forget about the home defeat and refocus their energy on the big occasion in Europe. They will welcome
the Italian giants, Milan, at home.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Camacho-c8276 acknowledges the impact of the weekend’s home defeat, but stresses the importance of not thinking too much about it. He believes his team can do the double on Milan and qualify for the next stage of the competition.
“We have no time to dwell on that loss and must focus on Milan.”
The midfielder also believes Europe’s most prestigious competition is way different than the domestic league and urges his teammates to continue their march and get the three points that will ensure their qualification from the
group.
“It will be a great game and we must go out to enjoy it because the Champions League is different to anything else, so we’ve got to continue what we have been doing and get the three points.”
The 22-year-old has also revealed the fact that he can’t wait to play at the San Siro stadium and knows that it will be a difficult place to visit and come away with something.
“There’s no doubt it has been a dream of mine to play there. It’s one of those places where a footballer always wants to play and do well.”
Finally, Malaga coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-c23383 Pellegrini, commented on the impact of the financial issues that resurfaced last week and described it as strange. Regardless, he feels all those things didn’t affect the team spirit.
He hopes everything will be dealt with accordingly since the wealthy owner of the club is here at the moment.
“Hopefully everything will be sorted out this month but we need to stay out of it and concentrate on doing well on the pitch, as we have done.”
Currently Malaga are on top of their group with nine points. They are yet to concede a goal in the Champions League.
