  1. try turning the wheel to the left and turn the key at the same time.. usually works for me..

  2. wigle the shifter a little or the the stiring whell as it just might be a little jamed.  i find my camao does that often if i shut it off with the wheels turned a bit or it i'm sitting on a slop

  3. Maybe this will help, I hope? http://autorepair.about.com/od/quicktips...

EDIT: I misread your problem... Sorry!

I'm thinking you probably need a new ignition switch..

  4. There are 2 common things that can cause this. One is the pins in the switch are starting to stick, which can easily be fixed by putting a little bit of a dry graphite lube made for locks in the switch. The other comes down to how worn the key is. Is the key overly worn? the easiest way to test is by using a spare that was cut a while ago(shortly after you got the car). If it is the cylinder that is worn down, you'll have to replace the keyed switch in order to fix the problem, same thing if the little springs that push the pins back down are broken, even one can stop the switch from being able to turn. Good luck and hope it works out.

  5. Neutral safety switch may need adjustment or replacement.
