The Spartak Moscow striker has assessed Silkin’s role at Arena Khimki and has urged the Dinamiki manager to alter the situation next season.
The future of Dynamo Moscow boss, Sergei Silkin, is under fresh scrutiny following the Moscow-based club’s poor Russian Premier League campaign. The 51-year-old is set to leave Arena Khimki this summer after news in Russia had
indicated an imminent change of management at Moscow.
If speculations are to be believed, Yuri Isayev wants to sign Kuban Krasnodar’s Dan Petrescu and Rubin Kazan’s Kurban Berdyev, after replacing the former Dinamo Minsk defender next month.
Media reports in Russia suggest that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Igor-Semshov-c16748 are set to follow in the footsteps of their manager after having a disappointing end to the season.
There is little arguing that the Dinamiki were the favourites to land the second-spot in the league table before the start of the third league round. However, they failed to retain the Champions League spot after dropping excessive
points.
Former Spartak Moscow player, Igor Kolyvanov, has backed Silkin, insisting that the Russian tactician needs more time to alter the situation at Moscow. He has pointed out Silkin’s noticeable accomplishments and gave the example
of securing the UEFA Europa League qualifications and reaching the Russian Cup final, this season.
The White-blues were unable to win their second domestic cup since the inception of the Russian top division after suffering a 1-0 defeat against Rubin Kazan at Yekaterinburg stadium last month.
“Though Silkin has not won the Cup but he has fulfilled the task of getting into the top five at the end of the season. I think he needs a little appreciation for the work he has done. I do not know about the relationship between
the players and coach, but it is clear that the recent situation is tense.”
“Valery Gazzaev and Berdyev are authoritative experts, so I will not doubt their candidacy. Petrescu is an ambitious coach and everyone can see what he did at Kuban. He managed to promote them from championship.” The former Bologna
player was quoted as saying.
Kolyvanov went on to urge the management to give Silkin’s more time to alter the situation at Moscow.
