  1. i think that most of it is very hypocritical. because all the people that are trying to stop it, most likely drive cars.

i mean, there are some other way to get around, but cars are an easy choice.

plus everything is pretty much bad for the environment or bad for your health.

i think its just a stage for the earth. and i think that some people are handling it really well, and some are ignoring it. but i think ignoring it is not a good choice, because sooner or later it'll become a bigger issue.

  2. Yeah I hate global warming. It's so true, because there is only so much resources you can take before the earth before it gets to a critical point.

  3. Yes, I do wish people would do something to stop it

  4. Yes I do

  5. closing your eyes will not make a problem go away. The problem will still be there when you consciousness.  The government has been closing their eyes for years. That is why we are in this mess to begin with. To all those who wish to know how old I am-I am 54 going on 30. Your as old as you feel, and I feel  young!

  6. I hate that it is, that mankind has not shown the proper respect for the planet's resources, which support us so generously.

That's why I'm trying to reduce my carbon footprint and become a better citizen of the world.  So that my children, and my grandson, can look forward to a more promising future.

Let's all hate it together, shall we?

  7. I think the people in the Midwest really HATE climate change!

  8. Yeah, I hate MYTHS also.

If you do not appreciate the current mild conditions that Earth has, you certainly will not appreciate the alternative which is the next Ice Age!

  9. no because it doesn't exsist

  10. GW is a myth. We as human beings have only been measuring weather and temp for about a hundred years (minuscule time in earths historical standards). Our tech is still of the mark most of the time. Does anyone think we really have an accurate measure of what is really going on? And don't get me started about how higher temps actually lead to ice ages. Sheesh!

  11. I also hate global warming but this is made by us people throwing trashes anywhere, Smoke comes from cars and factories and specially we don't recycle. What can we do? It is now happening.

  12. I miss it.   I live in a town that sticks out into Boston Harbor, north of the airport.  Usually by this time of year the winds are coming off the harbor side, not the ocean side, and I can open my windows, put my chinese screens in and get a nice gentle breeze flowing through the place - which I have to do because it's in the mid to high 70s.    And I can lie out in my container garden on the deck, listening to the Sox game on the radio, and then come in, open my front windows that overlook the ocean, and hear the waves crashing on the beach as I fall asleep.

It's been too cold and/or wet to go out on the deck, the winds blow in the front windows with a strong sea mist or rain, which would ruin my silk curtains.    And it's just downright chilly - when I take a walk out on Deer Island I still have to bring a sweater.

The last few years, each Spring-Summer-Fall has been a little chillier than the last.

  13. It's way better then cooling so I'm good.

  14. I hate the idea of it.

But, we should stop arguing global warming...it doesn't matter if it's happening or not, I'm not really sure myself. The bottom line is middle America will never buy the argument and keep driving those Chevy 8 mpg SUV.

What I do know, is burning fossil fuels is bad for OUR environment, forget global for a minute, consider our lives here and now.  This is what I hate, I hate the smog, I hate the heat from a bus' exhaust pipe as it screams by, I hate the dirty mess caused by oil and gas, but most of all, I hate the wars and deaths that happen in name of fuel.  Why can't we grow up and stop worrying about profit lost by not using up all but the last drop of oil...It's time to move on people, we have used gas long enough, it's no longer a symbol of progress as it use to be.  It should be a symbol of our ancestors falter.

  15. I also

  16. Yep.

I hate Global Warming (although a better term is Climate Change as the overall global warming trend can create localised cooling or increased precipitation such as Randall E describes). I also hate the fact that we humans are causing it.

And I really hate the really poor understanding of science that people like J Dns shows (as if you need to directly measure something for it to be real - please, proxy indicators are part of basic science, what re they teaching at schools nowadays?)

But what really makes me mad is the fact that because of this ignorance, people can continue to act as if they are not personally responsible / need not do anything personally - no matter how small - to try and do something about it so they will continue on their irresponsible ways, s******g up the planet.

Ah well, "as you sew, so shall ye reap":

Good luck to you and your kids!

  17. I think the reaction by some people is more of a problem then global warming.  And to the individual who makes claims about the Mid West,  I live here and the strength of character of the Mid West is what will get us through, this is not the first time we have been through tough weather and won't be the last.  For the most part we are generous people, with good hearts, the heartland has more meaning then you could know.

  18. oh yeah i do hate global warming..it has created destruction all over the world...so i hate it
