  1. Forget Sam Peter this guy was the real Nigerian contender. Crazy as a loon, but  very dangerous.

  2. The sad part about Ike is "what could have been".  I agree that he was crazy as a loon, and that should never be glorified (see: Mike Tyson). . . . .but he had such physical gifts.  Size, incredible stamina, ungodly physique, good reach, great power, and decent boxing ability.

I just saw his tangle with Tua the other day on Classic.  How sad. . . .we could have used him.

  3. We'll never know but I can still remember CHris Byrd's eyes rolling into the back of his head when Ike hit him with that uppercut.  I thought the fight with Tua was pretty even so I think a bigger fighter like Lennox who wanted to keep distance could probably have beaten Ike in a decision.  But if Lennox wanted to brawl with Ike,  Ike would KO him.

  4. i dont think so

  5. i believe he could of won a title a reigned for a good while......he defeated an undeafeted KO artist fighting toe to toe (12 rd win over David Tua)...proving his chin and stamina he Ko'd the undefeated (Chris Bryd in 5 rds) also he was outpunching the south paw that most fighters avoided early in his career...he also started fighting top contenders at Bryd,Tua,Wilson he had great possibilties.......and he was seeking the top 10 contenders who avoided him because of the Tua and Byrd
