The Spanish national team faced Panama in an international friendly and even though Vicente Del Bosque played a second-choice side, La Roja were able to win 5-1.
Spain faced Panama in a friendly fixture during the midweek and won the match 5-1 with Pedro Rodriguez scoring a brace in the process.
The World champions were expected to face a tough challenge in the shape of Panama, as the climatic conditions were quite harsh for La Roja.
The humidity level was expected to rise up to 90%, something which the Spanish players would find difficult as they do not play in such conditions on a daily basis.
However, despite the extreme weather conditions, La Roja were able to secure a victory as they won the match 5-1.

However, a few first-choice players got the nod to play for Spain and David Villa was one of them.

Casillas will now be returning back to the Santiago Bernabeu, where his side, Real Madrid, are currently preparing to face Athletic Bilbao over the weekend, a match which can turn out to be a tough one, especially with Bilbao trying to climb up in La Liga’s
points table.
