The Spanish goalkeeper has stated that the game against Valladolid is not going to be easy and warned his team-mates against complacency.
The Real Madrid shot-stopper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Iker-Casillas-c16815, spoke about Real Madrid’s current run of form and how they should not drop any more points in the future.
Moreover, the Spaniard also spoke about how the game against Valladolid is going to be a tough one for the current Spanish champions and warned his side against complacency.
This season Real Madrid have not been at their best. The Spanish champions dropped early points in the season and a few unexpected draws and losses allowed Real Madrid’s arch-rivals, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, to top the league table.
La Blaugrana are currently eleven points above Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho’s men are finding it hard to catch them in the league.
The most recent triumph which added something to Madrid’s cause was the game against Atletico Madrid which they managed to win 2-0.
It allowed Los Blancos to cut the gap between them and the second position, where their local city rivals, Atletico Madrid, are resting with ease.
The Spanish giants played in the UEFA Champions League during the midweek and they won the game 4-1 against the Dutch champions, Ajax.
However, in the league, they have not managed to pick up the same amount of pace and Casillas wants them to win the game over the weekend.
While speaking about Valladolid and how they are going to prove to be tough opponents, Iker Casillas said:
“It will be a difficult game. It is a complicated field where the fans are enjoying their team being back in the Primera Division.”
“Valladolid are playing very good football and come into this game off the back of a good result at Sevilla. I think Saturday will be a tough game and they will make things very difficult.”
Real Madrid are currently at the 3rd position in the Spanish La Liga and are trailing behind both their rival clubs, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.
The game against Valladolid gives Jose Mourinho’s men another opportunity to build pressure over second-place Atletico Madrid.
