The Euro 2012 winning captain cut short his vacations to show his solidarity to the BBVA campaign that aims to increase horizons of the beautiful game.

Casillas was the honorary guest in a clinic for 100 children organized by the BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas. Subsequently, he filed a joint venture between the Real Madrid Foundation and BBVA Compass.
The Spanish goalkeeper was asked whether it was more difficult to play against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 or against hardened and excited children, where he coyly remarked that no one can be underestimated due to their talents and poise.
The program is designed to develop the sport in places where there are fewer economic opportunities or access to the sport is difficult. It will be implemented in schools in Rusk and Eliot, both located in marginal areas of Houston. The main objective of
the campaign is that youngsters absorb and learn the best values of football, hard work, teamwork and fair play.
Casillas revealed that he was excited to bring the values of sport to the poorest areas: "I think it is a fantastic program that improves the education of the kids. Children who excel may receive scholarships."
Edward Sindaco, Principal of Rusk, was very pleased with the visit of Iker and did not shy away from praising the decorated Spaniard.
"We know what kind of man he is; he has much honour and very interesting values. He would not necessarily be doing this but he does. We make a good work with children in education, but we have so less resources. This initiative is to give children the opportunity
to learn the values of sport," he said.
After completing the different events in Houston, Iker will leave for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Venezuela-c3039, where 250 young people are on scholarships from BBVA.
