The highly talented youngster believes that Athletic Bilbao are quite capable of causing an upset against Manchester United.
Muniain appeared quite confident ahead of Bilbao’s match against the Red Devils and insisted that the Spanish side will be looking to give their best against the English champions.
Athletic Bilbao will face Manchester United in their next UEFA Europa League match. The two-legged tie is a round of 16 knockout fixture and both teams will be hoping to progress in the European tournament.
The Spanish international admitted that his side were the underdogs in the match and that Sir Alex Ferguson’s side are going to be strong opponents to face. However, he was certain that a good result in the first leg can drastically turn things in
the favour of the Basque club.

While talking to reporters, Muniain was quoted as saying:
"It's a game we've been looking forward to for a long time. We're going there with every intention of giving Manchester United a scare and getting a positive result for the return leg. If we can keep the tie alive from Old Trafford, San Mames will
be up for a big European night (in the return leg)."
The youngster then went on to discuss factors which may be advantageous for the Spanish outfit.
"Maybe they could be affected by relaxing too much, which can happen if you feel superior to your opponents. We all know the high quality of their players, but sometimes subconsciously, you can relax too much and if we take advantage of that we can
cause them some damage," he stated.
