Ikorodu Road ready to register triumph at Hereford
This season proved to be extremely successful for Ikorodu Road as he managed to accomplish some glittering feats at the very threshold. Having made some laurels, the Matt Sheppard trained bay gelding went out of action in April. During this whole period,
he has gone through a lot of drills to build up on his momentum further.
Today, the nine-year-old veteran horse will make a comeback at Hereford to participate in the Bet365 Handicap Hurdle that is set to go over the good track of 3 miles and 2 furlongs.
For the sake of the prize money £4,549, the British runner will have to compete against half a dozen strong rivals.
Ikorodu Road has always performed well over good surfaces, thus, he will take it quite easy to capitalise on his capabilities fully.

The W. J. Odell horse elegantly grabbed top spot in the Ultima Business Solutions Handicap Chase at Newbury on March 24. He outplayed Ouzbeck by 4½ lengths to win that race.
Much to his advantage, Ikorodu Road will run under Charlie Poste who had been on his back in both of the March races.
Thus, the entire situation goes to the gelding’s favour. It will be amazing to watch him fighting and thriving at Hereford.
However, Pericoloso is likely to come hard on him. The Jeremy Scott trained bay gelding broke his maiden with the title of Bet totepool Text Tote To 89660 Novices' Handicap Hurdle that was run at Ludlow on April 29.
The novice horse made himself felt by winning the Congratulations To The Athletes Handicap Hurdle on October 11.
