i want to where on earth the land is as i describe it...

this is vague,

so part of your imagination must be used!

(i hope the modern human has imagination still)

-Snow fall is common,

a large part of the year the area is covered with snow

-pine trees/large sometimes sky covering trees

(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Langaa_egeskov_rimfrost.jpg) looking somewhat like that

-lakes/large bodys of water/creeks/ponds sometimes frozen

-jagged abrupt mountains/cliffs

-deep woods

-population is low/lower than other places

-the ground is mainly consists of soil, rock, and grass

-not many fields or open areas (consists of woods instead)

-far away from citys or establishments

Animal life:

-Bears

-big cats/four legged furry beasts

-tree dwelling mammals/creatures

-frog life, turtles, other pond based life

-birds like the water & tree kingfisher

-possible Glacier activity?

-naturally formed caves/Boulders

if you really need to know why, i had a dream of this.

  1. The Carpathian & Tatras mountains in Slovakia sounds like it would fit your description. I recently moved here & its a paradise.

  2. The southern tip of south America, or way up there in the north of Canada

  3. This is a perfect description of Europe, some 40000 years ago. you only have to add some Pachyderms (mammoths) and you have it.

  4. Other than the turtles, you have pretty much described where I live.

I live in the high mountains desert (yes desert) of Idaho.  I live at 4700 + feet elivation.  I'm in the farm land.  If you go a bit higher up in elivation (about 5500 ft) you start into the forests.

There are just over 1 million people in the entire state of Idaho.  Most of them live in cities.

Winters are 9 months long here.  Surrounded by the SawTooth Mountains.  Tons of wildlife here.  Bears, wolves, cougar, moose, elke, big horn, dahl sheep.  Plenty of squirrels, raccons, and porcupine in the trees.  As well as rarer critters, like fishers, and wolverines.

Winters are too brutal here for turttles, but we have plenty of pond life, fish, frogs, salamanders and such.

I love watching the Kingfishers hunt the Snake River...I see them all the time.   As well as doves, pelicans (yes, in the mountains in the desert!) , swans, snow geese, sage grouse, humming birds, and mountain blue birds, just to name a few of my very favorites.

Tons of caves around here.  The soil is of course filled with neutriant rich volcanic ash.  Plenty of lava rock.  The higher elivations have huge natural pastures filled with native grasses, and wildflowers (looks like you'd run into Heidi, Peter, and their goats there).

The swift moving Snake River is still frozen over, though thawing (that means Kingfishers migrate to warmer climates).

    It's not a dream....it really exsists.  It's called Idaho.
