Illaunglass gets to ride with jockey, Ryan Moore in the Piper – Heidsieck E B F Fillies’ Handicap
Taking a shift from the graded company to handicap is the 10 to 1 entry for the Class 2 Piper – Heidsieck E B F Fillies’ Handicap, Illaunglass. She will confront fourteen other three-year-old runners at Newmarket over seven furlongs on Friday, 13th July.
The first two starts of the bay filly were encouraging for the connections which is evident from the last two entries that they got for the three-year-old in graded races.
Red Clubs’ daughter dished out her potential in the career debut by clearing her maiden in the Lingfield Park Countryside Evening 4th June Median Auction Maiden Stakes (Division II) on 2nd June, 2011 at Lingfield over six furlongs.

Illaunglass sped up with the last furlong approaching and chased the leaders. She did maintain the pace and strength but failed to challenge the leadership of the pair. Her presence inside the final furlong did not really impact the finishing of the winner, Samitar and the runner up, Inetrobil.

Despite the miserable failure, the George J. Kent owned held an entry in the Group 3 German – Thoroughbred.Com Sweet Solera Stakes on 6th August, 2011 at Newmarket over seven furlongs.
The decent record of the three-year-old bay filly with the jockey, Ryan Moore has brought him back after Illaunglass raced with two other jockeys. Not only is the rider and distance familiar for the R O’Callaghan And D. Veitch bred, it is a step down in the level of competition too, leaving the filly not much to complain about in the seasonal debut.
