Illegal Immigration?

I think that it's not right 100%. But then I understand why they come over to the U.S. They are looking for a better life. A lot of people say they take our jobs away, but then you know you wouldn't see some of us Americans out in some fields picking out fruit.I know I see a lot of illegals in Dallas. Whats your opinion?

Star if interesting.

  1. I'm looking for a better life too, and my life is better without them.

I don't care if it's legal, but put a il in front of it and it's wrong.

  2. I think that people should be given  a fair chance at life As long as they a safe to live by then they should be allowed to work. Also they can't really 'steal' jobs if they're not the peoples in the first place..

Alot of people seem to have gotten the wrong idea of what i  meant.

Illegal Entry into ANY country is wrong and people should only enter if the country allow them. I'm just saying that people should learn to accept other people who want to do something with their life

  3. I understand that they want more out of life.  Personally, I am confused by the ones that say they should get all of these privileges that we wouldn't get in our wildest dreams without working for years.  I actually picked vegetables for a while.  I truly lost my spot to someone that couldn't speak English.

I think that when people start yammering that the people who come here illegally aren't criminals, I want to hit something.  The moment that they crossed the border without visa's, they became criminals!

  4. Its not the working class that is the problem.  Its there c**p for brains kids that come over with the gangs that drive through my neighborhood and shoot my friends.  Thats who I hate them gang members, not the nice old couple working them farms or stores.  Their d**n kids.

  5. The only problem I have with illegal immigration is those people who blatantly come here with the intention of not working and just cheating the system.

If you want to come to America, I think you should come here to work hard and make America better.

  6. They all say Americans did these jobs before, but today's Americans are different! they have easier alternatives. They'll also use the wages excuse, but that's not the case in most farms. Some jobs pay up to $16+/hr at a piece rate. That tells us that they want to work, but not work hard for it. Most employers hire immigrants because they won't make demands for higher wages, longer breaks, benefits, weekends and holidays off.

"Americans want to work five days a week, not seven. We’ve advertised all over to find backstretch workers, and we’re lucky if we get one or two. Congress seems to believe we can find Americans to do this work. Well, if they can find them, then please send them to us.”

"In a time when many Americans are facing a potential recession, why can't he find workers to fill their shoes?

"That's a great question," he says. "I had my bookkeeper analyze our payroll records from last year. I indicated we had 75 employees who worked in the field. We divided the total amount of wages paid to those workers by those 75 employees, times the total number of hours that they worked. And we found that their average earnings were $16.59 an hour."

"Even after offering higher wages, many farms still do not have enough workers to bring the crops in, The Christian Science Monitor reports."

  7. That is a big discussion that people have

This country is built by immigrants.

People say they dislike illegal immigrants but then they use them for work because its cheaper.

I think instead of increasing border control we should make it easier for them to become citizens and hope they make the right choice.

  8. I think people should enter the country legally and become naturalized citizens.  They have no rights to just walk over and live here.

  9. I think you're exactly right. But if they do decide to come over here, it needs to be the legal way. Going to a new country illegally and not paying the taxes is no way to start a better life.

  10. Well first off,you have been misled, only 2-3% of illegal aliens actually work in the fields. As for coming for a better life, I would like a better life too but you don't see me breaking the law to get it. Besides that,if things are so bad for illegals, how are they able to pay thousands to coyotes? They could use that money to make a good life in their own country. Lastly,I have yet to see a starving illegal, most are obese.

I don't buy the better life story one bit, they are here to take and destroy. My bottom line is that they should all be deported and permanently barred from this country.

  11. Nobody is saying we don't understand why they come, we do. We know that America is a better place to live with many opportunities.

But at the same time they DO take jobs that citizens want, and yes we will even go out to the fields and pick fruit, but guess what... those jobs aren't even available to us... farmers WANT to abuse the workforce and a citizen won't put up with that. That is why you will rarely see a want ad for farm work in the main stream newspapers... but if you pick up a Spanish language newspaper there they are.... why is that do you think?

Furthermore, there are allot more jobs being taken then just farm work, service jobs across the board are being taken as well as construction. You CANNOT stand there and tell me that an American citizen won't work in a factory or be a construction worker. Or do you ignore it every time the news covers the after effects of an immigration raid, hundreds of people line up to apply for the job openings.

And illegals effect much more then just the job market, there is also the negative impact on health, education and crime rates in every single city with a large illegal population.

  12. I think I agree with you.
