  1. if it says it has a virus it does, its malware which can bug ur computer pretty bad......they dont warn u if ur pirating music or movies, they just show up at ur doorstep.

  2. This isn't fake.  MediaDefender Inc. is the research arm of the RIAA (which has been filing lawsuits against people for downloading).  Also, those are indeed valid US statutes pertaining to copyright, Digital Millenium Copyright Act, etc.

PS - If this is fake (especially since you mentioned the attachment was a virus) it sure is meant to scare people.  Try and trace where the message originated.  Good luck.

  3. Ashkansoccerpro, dont worry!! Indeed it is a virus spreading through spam!!!

  5. It looks like it says something about a virus? Is that an advertisement, or something from your mail provider?

If you haven't visited those sites (or torrent aggregator's) and used your actual email address, I wouldn't worry too much (especially if there was a virus attached to the message)

FAIR WARNING: If you've been downloading and sharing copyrighted works over those (or any other) sites, then you may have reason to worry, and you should cease and desist for your own good.
