Illegal downloading question?

im now aware that music and videos that have been copyrighted and its illegal to share them over the internet...but is it illegal to download, in this case an episode of family guy, that has been recorded of TV?

It is illegal, but tens of millions do it, so it is safe, unless you go downloading thousands of songs per month... then you might get in trouble....

It is illegal to download still but chances of getting caught are very slim. I am sure if you could watch family guy episodes online streaming withut having to download. Just search google and type in "watch family guy online."
