Illegal tree clearing?

Question

Local council on Bribie Island QLD cleared all the trees including wattle and and gum trees on national park land..This was to clean out a drain..They took much more than they needed to..There is a massive gum tree with all the Cocky nests and this looks as though it will go later this week. I rang council and state government departments including Parks dept and all I got was the run around..

Who can a person ring to stop this destruction..

its called the local media TV,radio,newspaper get ahold of a local reporter that has a passion for exposing government,or corporate waste or a passion for the environment.By getting the media involved on anything controversial will be the only way to get results
