Illinois Medical Lien Act clarification?

The lien is from a county hospital and I want to know what the least amount is that I can pay them? When I read the Act it stated that if everything was over the settlement than they could only receive 20% of the lien, is that true?

  1. Yes it is true but if you can show a hardship they will negotiate a lesser amount.~
