Question:

Illinois New Drivers Insurance Grace Period?

by  |  earlier

I just got my drivers licence and was told that I have 6 months that I can drive my parents insured vehicle without me having to pay insurance or without my parents rates going up. Is this true? Can anyone provide me with a link to where this law is? I cant seem to find anything on it.

Thanks in advance for the help!

  1. It is always a good idea to hold some good resources at firstplaec.here is one of them.

  2. Cody, For car insurance the quickest method to get a cheap quote is do a policy comparison. Be sure to choose the same coverage levels, you can get an fast quote to compare against others. Use the same coverage area, auto make and model, mileage and driving history to ensure you get accurate comparison. To get mulitple auto insurance quotes, go to http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Free-Aut... and you can compare all the major auto insurance companies.

  3. I highly doubt that.  I have never heard of such a law anywhere.  When you are a brand new driver is when you tend to have the highest risk for accidents, so no insurance company is going to give you a free ride during that time.  I think someone is pulling your leg here.
