Question:

Illinois Tollway - Toll Violation?

I write in question for a friend of mine.

Last month his brother borrowed his car for a trip to Wisconsin. From the I-80 interchange to the State line and all the way back .. he took the car through every I-pass lane on I-294. Needless to say, the fines came back on my friend instead of his brother. There is no I-pass registered for the car, and the guy knew that.

My question is that of.. Will the fine go on his driving record? and/or Can he somehow make the brother responsible?

  1. The fines don't go on the driving record.  He has to prove that it was his brother who blew through the tolls, not him, for the brother to become responsible.

Plus, I'd never loan my brother the car if I was your friend.
