How much can be garnished each pay check? I've heard several different things. I'd like to know for sure. Thank you.

  1. Spifiman is correct.

Anjells answers are mostly correct most of the time but she really blew it this time and yesterday about the debt being re-aged.

Not trying to be sarcastic, but if you don't know the correct answer why answer at all?

  2. I have posted a link to show the exact garnishment that can be taken in IL.

It's 15% or 45 times the min. wage of $5.15 whichever is greater.

  3. The standard is is up to 30%. You need to get your credit report and dispute anything incorrect or old (> 7 yrs)

You've got  collection agencies calling you (last post)

Don't stick your head in the sand. If they debt is your call them for a payment agreement and a 'pay for delete' so when you're done paying, they'll remove the item from your credit report.
