Illinois learner's permit?

I'll be 15 at the end of the month and I was wondering; how should I would go about getting my learner's permit? Also, what should I study for the test? And, do I need to be enrolled in a driver's education class in order to get a permit? If you do have to be enrolled in a class.....My school won't let you take driver's education unless you are turning 16 during the course, or you are already 16... My birthday is at the end of July, so I won't be 16 until my Junior year, so I can't take the class until I'm already 16...what should I do? I want to get my license when I'm 16, not my permit! Thanks!

iim 15 too and i have my illinois permit, i took drivers ed from school though, but sears offers a program and there are driving school you can go to, you have to have passed drivers ed to get your permit, and the teacher or whoever you take the class from should give you material to study, GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh and dont argue with your mom or dad when your driving, just listen to what they have to say. trust me my mom is the worst
