  1. Illinois Class M: Any motorcycle or motordriven

    cycle:

To obtain a motorcycle classification on your driver’s license, you must pass a separate motorcycle examination. Drivers ages 16 and 17 also must successfully complete a motorcycle training course approved by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). Persons age 18 and older who successfully complete an IDOT motorcycle training

course are not required to pass a written or driving examination at a Driver Services facility. Applicants renewing their current driver’s licenses are not eligible for the test waiver.

  2. How about ringing the Illinois DMV..????

or look at there web site??

  3. Applicants under eighteen years of age who present an IDOT Motorcycle Rider Course completion card will still be required to take the driver examination. So if you are under 18 you must take the course .If you are over 18 you can get your permit and then take the test at the DMV. But Its Best and easiest  to just take the course anyways the DMV road test is to d**n hard .My brother failed it and hes been riding motor cross for years.
