Ilo lcd tv..picture too large?? our picture seems to large vertically..we can only see the bottom

our picture seems to large vertically..we can only see the bottom of the words at the top of the screen, such as school closings or the running order of a nascar race. I cannot locate the owners manual for the tv either. Please help!
