Ilya Bryzgalov helps Philadelphia Flyers rebound against New Jersey Devils in 3-0 shutout -NHL

Putting Ilya Bryzgalov back in the net, Philadelphia was full on rebounding against New Jersey, a team to which they lost 4-1 in their previous matchup, but this time, Flyers were out to get revenge as they shutout Devils, 3-0, on Tuesday night, March 13,
2012, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The Philadelphia defenseman played their role well and minimised Devils scoring chances as the visiting team had only 17 attempts throughout with Bryzgalov blocking all 17 to stay perfect in three straight start-ups.
"With everything he's had to go through this year, it has to be something special for him finally, feeling like he's playing with a lot of confidence," said centre, Danny Briere. "There was a point-blank shot in the third period and it looked like nothing.
He went down, took the blocker out, deflected the puck in the corner.”
Killing off two straight penalties in the opening period, Sean Couturier opened the scoring with his 12th of the 2011-2012 National Hockey League (NHL) regular season at 11:07 of the second.
Philadelphia and New Jersey players scrambled in front of Devils goalie, Martin Brodeur, and it was Couturier who eventually managed to put it in for the first of the night.
Flyers took over the third period with Jakub Voracek firing off the extension shot in the opening minutes while Danny Briere secured it with an empty-netter as the clock came down to the last five minutes of game-play.
Seeing how the home team performed, New Jersey was forced to realise that they were better in pretty much all aspects of the game.
"We were outcompeted in a lot of the small areas of the game that we're usually pretty good at, and it showed," New Jersey coach, Peter DeBoer, said. "They were better than us."
Flyers will be kicking off a two-game road trip against the struggling New York Islanders on Thursday and if Bryzgalov is in the net, seeing another shutout will certainly not be surprising.
New Jersey Devils return home for the next against a charged Colorado Avalanche team on the same day looking to further secure their last Western Conference playoff spot.
