  1. Don't see why not. I'm 23, 6'1'' and weigh 155 lbs. Don't see why you can't. May as well start young or it will start to show later.

  2. Yes, but be mindful not to lift crazy heavy weights, lower weights and higher reps at this point will build the foundation to grow upon as you get older. Good form, no squirming around and being out of control.

Avoid injury and have fun, keep it enjoyable and when you can get really serious your frame of mind and your abilities will take you places you can only dream of now.....

    Lift on......

  3. Well, if you are already 6.0 then yes you can lift light weights but you have to remember that your body is still developing.

  4. 13 is a great time to start lifting weights. although don't get too attached to it. train around 1-2 times a week. when you hit 15-16 is a great time to add weight lifting to your daily workout. i remember i started middle school football during your age and we started lifting weights. so its a good thing to start but dont go overboard., your not at that age to start lifting 3-5 times a week.

  5. Ask your doctor if your growth plates have sealed.

  6. Well you're already 6'0'' so maybe you can try.

  7. Yes, as long as used properly, it's okay for anyone to lift weights.

  8. No

At 13 you're body is still developing and weight training will throw everything off.

You should be concentrating on STRENGTH training...............

  9. Weight training is strength training, you can use your own body weight or the light weights you are using.  Visit this site to set up and learn more about your training:

You can do this safely but educate yourself and do it right.  Good Luck!
