  1. im a vietnam vet and started smoking pot there, ive smoked it for 30 some years, while ive not noticed any serious effects what I do know is it has a tendency to make you lazy, and it does impair reflexes and perception. while I agree it is not the devils drug, such booze and the hard streen drugs meth, narc,s and others, it is still a drug. If used medicinally it could prove beneficial to those undergoing chemo since the cannabis soothes stomach upset and nausea. I also believe it should be regulated and decriminalized. and controlled just like booze.

  2. wait until you are an adult honey

  3. DUVVBRAND took everything i was going to say, i think he might have used my exact words.  amen brother

FIRST!  toss out everything youve seen on those stupid commercials. toss out those stupid parents "if you smoke it you die".  toss out the kill brain cells lecture (yes, thats right, it does NOT kill brain cells).   you are 13 and you have just taken your first glance behind the curtain of oz: you have just taken your first peek of seeing through the lie.  also, toss out what your friends say.  chances are good they're just going off heresay.  it is YOUR, AND ONLY YOUR job to educate yourself, arm yourself with an arsenal of knowledge.

weed is an excellent thing.  you can't see the bad in it because the bad is so little.  weed is minimal damage to the lungs for something smoked, it does NOTHING to your brain cells, it relaxes you, clears your mind...they never taught you this in health class.

you seem like a future smoker. NOT THAT IM PUSHING YOU TO DO IT.  however, as much as i think that smoking weed is a benign activity, i would not reccomend smoking at this early an age.  contradictory, it may seem, but listen.  i started smoking at 16, and in my eyes i started smoking at exactly the right time.  i play(ed) football and still play rugby.  one thing weed does is relax you, you learn to calm down.  i was in the middle of my football playing career when i stared smoking.  if i had started smoking any earlier, i think i would have been more motivated to quit football and possibly discontinue sports altogether, which have always been a passion of mine.  instead, i think my mind had been developed enough to a point where by the time i started smoking, my mind had been made up that there was no way i was going to give up my sports for more smoking time.  there is a good balance and i found it, but thats because i was old enough. you're 13, you still have to be a little kid, run around yelling, push girls off the jungle gym, play little league, and all the stuff that little kids do.  your mind is not fully developed yet and the introduction of weed at this early an age could send you avoiding the activities you still need to experience.  still think its contradictary?  think of it this way: my little brother was introduced his first video game system when he was like 5 or 6.  since video games were so cool to him, he wanted nothing more then to just play those video games, and he grew up not wanting to play sports, not wanting to do his hw, and now hes a video game junkie.  is there anything wrong with video games? no, he just had them at too early an age.  when he was 6, i was 12, and his first video game system was mine.  at 12, i was mature enough to understand that video games are cool, but i have other responsibilities and that video games are a luxury that can be used as recreation in moderation: exactly how weed should be used when you get older.  as recreation in moderation.

so do you see what im saying?  weed is an age appropriate luxury, and you are currently too young, but as soon as you are old enough (not when YOU think you're old enough), you should learn to enjoy the benefits of marijuana.  take eveything you here with a grain of salt, and educate yourself on the subject.   you are a soldier fighting the system, and your weapon is your knowledge.  and you have the power to make your gun bigger, and better, until you can prove to anyone that marijuana is fine.

and duvvbrand is right, cigarrettes are a whole different ball game, and i do not reccomend in the least to go messing around with those.  i would not make this argument for ANY other drug, as db said, marijuana, like you said, is the good herb and is in its own class, seperate even from acid and shrooms.

pm me if you want to, this is a subject i feel very strongly about.

  4. Whether it's harmful or not is controversial, but I want to answer the comment about herbs.

Deadly Nightshade is a herb. Wolfsbane is a herb. They could both kill you.

For some reason people assume herbs are "safe". Then in the next breath they refer to them as "alternative remedies".

Think about it. Anything with enough power to heal, also has the power to harm. If a herb was 100% safe it would have no remedial power.

So, any herb has to be understood, properly. All its pros and cons.

This is a strong herb, hence its effects. Wait until you're older, and meanwhile, study.

  5. I've never done pot, but if I were to say anything in response to this question, it would only be repeating what someone else has already said. In a sentece, wait 'til your older - everyone here has given you really good reasons to wait and I just wanted to reiterate that.

  6. I'm not going to say it is good for you, but its not horrible for you.

yeah you are better off if you don't smoke it, but isn't as bad as people make it out to be, its not like if you smoke it one time you are addicted or you will die, its nothing like that.

  7. 'you will be better off if you don't'.....I would have to disagree with that statement.

HOWEVER,  I would definitely not recommend starting at 13.

Kids have trouble smoking **in moderation**, which is absolutely critical if you intend to consume any narcotic (including alkeehol). Also, your mind isn't fully matured---not even close in fact...best to let that happen naturally. THEN smoke weed later on in an attempt to figure out how the world got so a$$-backwards. JUST SAY NO TO SMOKING CIGARETTES!!..lol

DON'T BELIEVE THOSE 'ABOVE THE INFLUENCE' COMMERICALS---THAT IS PROPAGANDA AT ITS FINEST

A slang term for weed is 'Buddha'....for a reason. I also have reason to believe the original 'holy anointing oil' from the Bible contained "cannabis" NOT "calamus".

finally, u can't get hooked on weed after smoking it one time....it's just not that kind of drug.

    peace

and just to be clear: I don't endorse the use of anything but marijuana, if you must do something. That means: no coke, no meth, no crack, no smack........and while mushrooms and LSD are not in that first category, they're simply not for everyone--quite beneficial to some though.

  8. Of course you won't see any harm until you've actually researched on what it is and how it affects your body and it's consequences. Once you know the full information, thereafter you'll know exactly if smoking weed at your age or in the future is bad or good.

  9. Even herbs can have harmful side effects.

  10. Hehehe !!!

    here is the old saying.

This is U're brain on drugs ((((it gets fried))))

Pot kills brain cells.  Now if U prefer 2 remain smart, I suggest that U do not try but if U'd like 2 become stupied, then please, be my guess, lol.

  11. dont listen to the haters.. im 14 turning 15 and i smoke a bunch... the one thing i regret is starting so early.. Once you get into high school go for it and start partying but be responsable... i wouldn't recommend smoking at such a yound age because i believe im a strong person and i handled it and made myself stop but if you wanted to try it,, go for it but at your age do not make it habitual. seriously

  12. I've been smoking since I was 12. I am 21, make 32k a year working at a law firm. Weed doesn't mess you up. Making stupid choices does. You gotta stay smart.

  13. Marijuana is all-natural. The things you have to keep in mind are the possible legal/parent consequences and the toxins you will inhale. Toxins can be eliminated by using a vaporizer. Marijuana is not physically addicting, but can be mentally addicting and at your age, I would suggest waiting awhile until you're mature enough to figure out your limits and use at your own moderation.

Other than that, there are no side-effects and I personally think everyone should try it at least once before they knock it.

  14. it causes all kinds of negative effects toward the mind and body. http://alcoholism.about.com/od/pot/a/eff...

think about it this way: hitler, stalin, and hussein didnt see any harm in killing millions of people.

sure that a very harsh comparison but it gets the point across.

  15. You will be better off if you don't.  You will be healthier if you don't smoke at all.

    All the Best.

  16. okay, i've been smoking mary jane for 5 years, and let me tell you, you're 13? stay the f*ck away from it, at least until you are 16, there are a number of health harms that can result from marijuana, 1. if you smoke it in a joint, you are smoking a lot of tar, doing more damage than a cigarette. 2. it can cause paranoia in a lot of people, THC affects everyone different.

Thats why when you smoke it, you use a vaporizer, or a bong, or eat it. Don't do that sh*t at 13, thats all I got to say to you, even if it is a herb, you're only 13, don't get hooked on anything, I saw my friends get hooked on weed at 13-14, then they got bored and turned to coke, and meth. Lost everything.

On the other hand it has a lot of medical benefits, but you can't be prescribed medical marijuana until the age of 18+, people say it has negative effects on body and mind, like it worsens depression in teens, well sh*t it only worsens it if you smoke alone.

  17. give it a shot. just be mature about it.

  18. it does harm you, but so does alcohol and people still do it. Its a shame we are filling up american prisons with people that smoke weed. there are many people that are pushing to legalize weed. so i dont think that its a good idea to smoke weed, but im a pot head, so i think you should at least try pot

  19. there are plenty of poisonous herbs out there.

but weed doesn't really harm you that much.

the worst thing it does is affect your relationships with other people.

    just watch out for that.
