Im 13 and im possibly going to camp next year. how hard is it to learn ballet?

im possibly going to a camp next year and thinking of studying ballet. i already do irish dance. they require that you know ballet. if i take ballet class this year, would that be really hard or should i do something different at the camp? or should i give it a shot? thanks!!

I've been doing ballet since I was 3, so that's 13 years, and I still don't have it perfect.  The beauty of ballet is that it is pretty to watch, looks easy to do, but is actually extremely difficult to learn.  I personally do not think you could pick it up in one year, but I don't know how good a dancer you are!  I would pick something else at the camp, but still take the class!  Ballet is an amazing thing to learn, if you like to dance.  That way, if you end up being really good at ballet, you can take it at camp, and if not, you might find you really enjoy it!

it takes 7-20 years to get your technique right it take hard work determination practice and a little talent to get good at ballet so give it a shot but don't get your hopes to high=^..^=

its as hard as you want to make it. its not the type of thing where you can just go to classes and learn it all there....you'll need to practice a little bit at home too. Practice practice practice.

It's definitely the hardest out of all types of dancing whether people realize it or not. But once you can do ballet...you can do almost anything. So I would definitely recommend it.

Most ballet dancers  have been training since the age of four.   It requires much study and dedication - plus you have the disadvantage of have another dance discipline under your belt. Your muscle memory will work against you.

That being said, having ballet in your knowledge base  is a good thing. What I would advise, however, is  to not wait unit camp next year.  I would start taking classes now.
