  1. NO!!!

    13 is way to young.

    And im sure it hurts.

  2. Most places (at least in the US) won't do body piercings on anyone under 16 even with parental consent.

  3. I've seen 12 year olds with their tongue pierced, back in junior high.

    They were like s***s.

But it's your decision, your tongue will swell up & you can't really talk that well at first & it'll be sore.

  4. i doubt your parents let you and i garuntee no legit piercer is going to do it for you behind your parents back.... too bad!

  5. of course it would be painful..my sister had it done and they shove a hollow needle up from the bottom of your tounge.

also im my opinion, it looks kinda tacky....

  6. its very painfull

  7. Nah, get it done whenever you want. It's your body, do what you feel is most appropriate. Tell your parents I said it was okay.

  8. 100% PAINFUL!!!  PLEASE DO NOT GET YOUR TONGUE PIERCED EVA!!!  I'm dead serious, please don't!  Don't listen to the other people who agree.  Listen to those who disagree as well as I.

  9. 13 is kinda young but I'm only 14. Personally i think you should wait until you are very sure that you want one maybe like 17. I know that a lot of girls at school get them and show them off and always have there tongues hanging out and everyone is always looking at them in awe but you have to remember that when you get them you are stuck with them. When you go into the piercing shop the guy sits you down and in a cup he gives you this stuff that kind of numbs your mouth and sits you down clamps you're your in place then OUCH!!!!!!!!!! but that's not as bad as it sounds kinda hurts but that's nothing compared to what the next week or two are gonna be like. You have a stiff tongue and have to drink lots of liquids and it aches but most people say its definitely worth it.Anyways I'm thinking you should wait till late teens to get it if you really want it.Sorry if my answers TOO LONG but i hope i helped.PS a lot of girls on the p**n movies and some guys expect something oral if you know what i mean. Guys can be really stupid but do what you want to do.

  10. Yuck. It's so distasteful.

  11. WAIT!

  12. I would say wait until 15-16, but as it's not something permanent (you can remove it if you don't want it) why not at 13.

  13. please wait until you are 18.  that is just too much for a girl your age.

  14. Wow what a tough question. Of course I would say NO.

Unless of course you want people to look at you like a s*x object. Lets get real here. We all know why girls get this done.

You may want to look at why you feel this need.

You should be looking at yourself as a person others will respect and admire and want to be around.

Not as someone who just wants attention from boys. It won't last and could have some bad consequences on your life.

    Best wishes

  15. Just to make it clear, i love tongue piercings ;]

But thirteen is a young age to pierce it. Due to the fact alot a guys will look at you and expect you to perform a sexual favour for them..

However, it is your body &i respect you for being individual and unique

Aslong as you/your tongue is not tense, then the needle should go through very quickly and it shouldn't be at all painful .

It's the swelling afterwards that hurts, but this should only last 7 days at the most !

All these people saying that they're more dangerous than ear or navel piercings are totally WRONGGG .

A survey that was conducted proved that there's less risk of an infection/problem in getting your tongue pierced, than any other piercing

Good luck with whatever you choose, but if i were you; i'd wait until i was atleast 15

    xo

  16. omg dont its disgusting!!!! my friend got hers pierced and it looks gross and she said it hurt like a lot and plus u r 13

  17. u should wait...

  18. WAIT. you might regret it.

  19. way too young and you will regret it when you get older..and yes it is painful, you are literally having a hole in your tongue.

  20. ur too young honey

  21. DO IT i got mine done when i was thirteen and i loved it it hurts a lot but it is worth it but do it a while b4 school because u cnt really talk at first

just make sure u let ur parents know that you are doing it

nd everyone is right about people looking 2 u 4 "favors" but if u feel like u can make the right desicions than yea i think u would like it!!!

  22. 13 is a young age to make a big decision such as that. Perhaps wait untill you're about 18 to decide whether you want it done or not. Personally, i think the thought of having a hole in your tongue is just gross and you may think so too when you're maturer.

  23. WAIT!!!!! 13 is pretty young....

  24. i like piercings, but the tounge ones are kinda dangerous. unlike your ear lobe or belly button your tounge is a muscle and piercing it could be damaging....and bad for your teeth too! but it is your mouth so think carefully!

  25. its more painful the any other piercing. but all piercings hurt but not like the tongue.

i know alot of people that got it done and they said if they had to go through with it again they won't cause its to much painful then any other piercing like your nose, navel, tragus, and ect.

The tongue is one of the most touch-sensitive organs in the body. there are alot of risk on getting your tongue pierced. i would do some research on the piercing before you get it done really.

The jewellery may damage your teeth and gums. A study from Ohio State University found that almost half the people wearing a tongue stud for more than 4 years had chipped teeth, and 35% had receding gums because of the stud banging against the gum (Journal of Periodontology 2002;73:289 –97). The longer the stud had been present, the worse the damage.

    * The pierced site could become infected, but this seems to be fairly unusual in the tongue compared with other parts of the body (maybe because of its good blood supply). Resist the temptation to fiddle with the newly inserted stud.

    * Because different parts of the tongue are sensitive to different tastes, some people find that a piercing affects their sense of taste. It can also cause slight difficulty in speaking clearly. If you need an operation, you will be asked to remove the tongue jewellery, because it can cause difficulties with the anaesthetic.

    * Allergy is another problem, because the metal may not be pure. You may think that you have pure gold or steel jewellery, but it may contain substantial amounts of nickel, which can cause a sensitivity. When scientists in Finland tested body jewellery, they found that 11 of the 12 items they tested exceeded the EU safety limits for nickel. Surgical stainless steel with the mark 316L is of good quality and is unlikely to cause sensitivities. Niobium is an expensive metal, but is least likely to cause sensitivities.

    * The piercing can allow bacteria to enter the bloodstream. In a recent case in the USA, the bacteria from a tongue piercing damaged the valves of the hear

  26. get it periced when u feel you can take full resposibility of it speacially cause itll hurt and get infected when u no you can do this ur ready

  27. don't you will regret it and people will see you as a crazy person so keep that beautiful tongue! ;)
