Im 13 and my mom said no colored contacts until im 15?

how can i talk my mom into getting me contacts?

i have dark brown eyes what color should i get?

how much do contacts cost?

Yeah, your mom's being generous!  Don't worry about it until you're 15. It'll come quickly enough. :)

Just hold out til your 15. It's not that big of a deal. Plus, you might change your mind by the time you're 15.

Contacts are very expensive either way. Not quite sure why your mom wouldn't let you get colored but I know colored may help you learn how to put them in so you don't drop them and lose them. Also, You are very young and when you wear contacts you have to make sure you keep them clean and take them out before you sleep.

I am a contact lens wearer (not coloured ones) and I can tell you now that they aren't as easy as you think.

Your mum might know that at your age they are no good for you.

Wearing contact lenses can cause lots of bacteria build up and they require lots of cleaning and disinfecting.

They block oxygen to your eyes so they can't be worn for too long, and can cause lots of discomfort if you are not used to them or your eyes are sensitive.

Your mum might want you to wait until you're older and more responsible to look after them. Dealing with eye infections at your young age might not be the best idea right now.

My partners little sister bought them last year and I spent an hour having to take them out of her eyes myself because she didn't know what she was doing.
