  1. Just start racing and as you go to the different tracks and events on the weekends you'll meet people then you can start your own team. Eventually you be able to get local sponsors and who knows maybe national. For riding tips goto http://www.atomsfamily.net/ at the bottom of that page is a link to Team PBD go to their site and email Mark. He'll probably be happy to tell you how he started his team.

  2. go to school.

  3. You have to prove you deserve to be on a team and have the ability to do well so the team gets something back.  Many riders who have been racing for years don't get asked to be on a team even when they are really good as there is always someone else who knows someone who gets the position and if you have not even begun to race, it is probably a bit ambitious to aim for that.  Just start racing and riding and if you have natural talent the rest will follow.  You have to be seen winning and doing well before you will be in a position to be on a team.

  4. What do you mean by team? Do you mean racing for your local bike shop? If so it depends on the quality of their team. Some shops will let anyone that races put their stickers on the bike and give them a discount on parts and labor. Other teams require you to be one of the top racers in the district. Either way it doesn't pay any money and you don't need to be on a team to race. Most A class racers are not on a "team", but rather have picked up several sponsors from various companies. Don't worry about teams and sponsorships, that is way down the road. What you need to concentrate on now is getting on the podium.
