Im 13 should i be able to use SOME makeup?

Question

i think its not fair that my parents wont let me wear makeup....

ex.last yr my dad got upset when i bout some lip gloss >.<

and he doesnt even let me straighten my crazy naturally curly hair =*(

i dont understand why and also i think everyone in school is really lucky bcuz they dont have parents like mine.I take credit of them for everything they give (food,shelter,etc.) but i think i should be able to go away from the house... and just grow up. I think its so unfair. I cant even get the priveldge to wear something on my face or body w/out lectures,accusations,etc.

wat should i do?

should i secretly use makeup? i dont know how to use eyeshadow for my skin tone..

im honey beige with dark brown hair and eyes. usually im pale olive though.

Just get a cool relative or aunt to let you, or just nag and nag until you get your own way =]

I think you should talk to your parents and make your views clear. Ask them up front why they won&#039;t let you wear makeup. You are at a right age, and if other parents let their kids wear makeup, there&#039;s no reason they shouldn&#039;t let you. They&#039;re being too strict on this issue.

Also, in about a year&#039;s time, wearing makeup will be the norm for a girl your age, so I don&#039;t see a problem.

yeah its really unfair, i wouldnt ask ur dad though cause it not likely  that he will be the 1st to say yes, try pressuring ur mom....it worked for my hair straightener for my naturally curly hair =]

woah my parents let m weir makeup since i was like 10..

everyday i wear liner

mascara

foundation

lipgloss

eyeshadow

and i can straighten and curl my hair as i please

u should secretly weir eyeliner i think

like at home put one coat and see if they notice.

sum eyeliner is only 88 cents so i dunt hinknull have a problem getting it-- anyways u should gradually put it on.

If I was your mother, At 13 I would let you wear CLEAR lip gloss and a bit of mascara, and that&#039;s ALL, and your parents need to realize that the more they shelter you and smother you, when you do get older and don&#039;t need their permission to breath, and will be on the wild side,  My mother did this to my sister, and she went nuts when she turned 16, sneaking out of the house and doing drugs, I know your not her but your parents need to seriously lighten up,  because kids will rebel

you should be able to wear a little mascaror lip gloss eye liner or eye shaow not alot becuz it doesnt usualyy look tht good nd straightening yer hair wutt rong with tht

Yes, it&#039;s not fair that you shouldn&#039;t be able to use makeup.  Almost all the girls at my school wear makeup.  Some more than others.  You should wear it secretly.  Because if you can&#039;t even straighten your hair, then that&#039;s not right.  Make sure to wipe the makeup off after you go home though.

You don&#039;t need it. And no, you should never do anything behind your parents back. Do whatever you like once you are no longer dependent on them for anything, not just when you have moved out.

BTW you should get used to thinking things aren&#039;t always fair. Since you share this world with other people, then things can&#039;t and won&#039;t always go the way you want them to. Accept it and go on with your life accordingly.

I think u should be able to use some makeup. i do. im allowed mascara and foundation. i usually put my hair up, but i do have a chi striaghtener. i use the tiniest bit of eyeliner brown blended it looks so natural and thats it. i look natural.

I woldnt wear makeup if uir parents dont want u to and also it can make u break out sometimes which stinks the only time i would acutally sneak it though is if u have a date I feel bad 4 u not being able to wear make up and straighten ur hair it would drive me insane. And if u do geyt to wear makeup blue eye shadow would look good with ur hair

I definitely think you should be able to wear make up I am thirteen too. I wear Mascara, Lip Gloss, and sometimes eye liner on special occasions. I don&#039;t think you should wear make up without their permission but try talking to them. I suggest having them &quot;approve&quot; the makeup you wear and only ask to wear like one type of make up. You could even ask if your mom could help show you how to wear make up.......

Oh, please. Makeup ruins your face. My 16 year old sister never wears makeup except when she&#039;s in a show. And my 20 year old sister doesn&#039;t wear makeup except for work. You&#039;re only 13..... why do you want to look fake? Makeup is terrible for your skin. I understand lip gloss, but anything else is just silly. start with small amounts of makeup like just eyeliner. maybe you should talk to your dad and ask nicely if you could wear makeup.

If you want to wear make up, that is definitely your decision. On the other hand, you don&#039;t want to have so much on that others can tell. Go for the &quot;all-natural&quot; look.

For your eyes, try some brown mascara, or if you are going for the more dramatic look, try some black. You can use brown on your lids, and a lighter brown to go up near your eye brows.

For your face, you can use powder, I recommend pressed powder, to get rid of shine through out the day.

u do not need make up....at all. straightening your hair and lip gloss are other things. i think you should at least be able to do those.

but i mean, i go to highschool ,and people dont use makeup until 10th grade.

you should try talking to your parents [in a mature way haha] so maybe they will understand more
