  1. My daughter is a competitive gymnast and she works out 5 days a week.  And yes, that includes Friday nights and Saturday mornings.  It does kinda stink, but that's the choice she's made because she wants to be good.  But you don't HAVE to work out that much if you don't want to.  You can still enjoy gymnastics and leave time for other things.  It just depends on what your goals are.

And no, It's never to late to do gymnastics! You might not make it to the Olympic level, but you could learn enough to compete on a club team, or on your high school team, which is a great experience! And even if you never compete, there are so many benefits to gymnastics. It will tone your body and keep you in great shape, which will make you more confident and comfortable with your body. The strength, flexibility and coordination you'll gain will help you in any other sport you might decide to do. You'll learn a lot of cool tricks that most of your friends can't do, which is always fun at parties. And besides all that, gymnastics is just fun, no matter what level you are.  And who knows... if you have some talent and work hard, you might become pretty good!

  2. =/ maybe. it depends how good you are atm.

generally, gymnasts have a day and a half off. i have weekends off, training for 3-4 hours a day otherwise.

just make sure you practice tons before you first go =D

so you impress your new coach.

good luck achieving your goal. xoxo
