  1. Hmmm , look around , but i don't think many places hire people until they are 16.

  2. ya i need a job too if you find one tell me please!! thanks!!

  3. I would suggest that you first talk to your parents. They may have friends that need a little help around the office during peak periods and would not mind paying you a salary to do so. In HS, I worked for a CPA organizing files on Saturdays. I also recommend that you look at starting your own business - this is something that may help you in college. Although car washes and lawn mowing are tried and true methods, you may think of others like pet grooming or pet sitting (for vacationing people). The key is to organize yourself and perhaps recruit others to help you. Of course, always get the approval from your parents.

  4. I'm just thankful you pointed out that you were "going on 15," I could have sworn the next number after 14 is 36.

  5. 1. at 14 or 15 you can not be picky, legally you can do many different jobs but most employers will not hire you because many at your age  lack maturity, work-ethic and job-skills.  fast-food and grocery stores are some of the best places to learn the skills that will translate to better jobs as you get older.

    2. it is hard to find a job at 14 and 15  because there are limits on when and how much you can work. most companies have their own policies concerning the hiring of minors so the only way to know about individual businesses is to apply. restaurants and grocery stores are usually the best options for minors under 16 because they find it easier to work within the labor guidelines for that age group.

    3. you are young and inexperienced so the first impression you make is critical. be sure when you go to apply that you are dressed appropriately that you go when the business is slow and ask for a manager, introduce yourself and politely ask for an application and the appropriate time to bring it back. you must have great references so talk to coaches, teachers, clergy, friends parents, anyone you have done casual labor for or places you have volunteered. make sure you ask them if you may use them for a reference and get current contact information for them.

    4. for info about hours you can work, work permit, job suggestions, interview information etcetera go to: http://www.youthrules.dol.gov

there are links for each state with info for employers, educators, parents and TEENS

    5. it varies some from state to state but generally

at 14 or older you can work in an:

    office,

    grocery store,

    retail store,

    restaurant,

    lodging facilities,

    movie theater,

    baseball park,

    municipal parks(city or county),

    amusement park, or

gasoline service station just to name a few……………….

    6. some businesses that do hire 14 and 15 year old employees include:

McDonald's, Burger King, Chic-Fil-A, Sonic, Krogers, Publix, Stop & Shop, Hardee's, Dollar Store, Target

most businesses are independently owned or operated so their policies for hiring minors may vary. although it is legal to work not all operators will hire those under 16 so just apply everywhere, the worse that can happen is you don't get hired.

    7. IF you really want a job you will realize that any job is what you make of it and when you are under 18 and the economy is as bad for employment as it is now ANY job is a GOOD JOB.
