  1. i am also going to be a freshman this year and also run around a 20 min 5k. I am going to start training this summer by running 50 miles a week and adding 5 miles a week. I will being taking sundays off and doing hills twice a week. I hope this helps

  2. I was about the same. Train every day, Ice stretch throughly, have a good pair of shoes, and, corny as it sounds, work hard...It pays off. Just run your butt off every day and you'll be sub-19 easy.

  3. most cross country teams dont have cuts they take everyone. i dont really see any highschool coach cutting a freshmen thats around 20 minutes, so you probably dont have to worry about that.

to get faster you need to put in alot of miles over the summer dont be stupid and try a 10 miler or something on your first day of training. my best advice would be is too try to talk to the person that is going to be your coach because the team probably has practice over the summer that you should defiantly go to, and just run and do whatever your coach tells you and you should be in good shape by the time cross season starts

  4. it good time, just keep it up
