no you can't smoke or buy them but most cops won't bother you unless you look really young

Well, it depends on your state.  As already posted, 32 states prohibit the use of tobacco by persons under 18.  This implies the other 18 states allow it, but ban the sale to persons under 18.

I know in MA, it is not prohibited to use tobacco under age 18.  It's also not prohibited to drink under 21.  But, of course, sales of both are prohibited to minors.

Just dnt do either hey...I started smoking young---wow what a bad mistake that was. I started in like grade 9 and nw im in my first year of varsity.....You will feel it burn a whole in your pockets and your health.

Yes in most places you can smoke at any age just it's illegal for the store to sell to you. But seriously man, don't smoke I still regret starting.

In the United States it is illegal for someone under 18 to possess or use tobacco products.

so, if you are in the USA, you can be sent to juvenile hall for smoking a cigarette if you are under 18.  And you parents can also get into trouble.

That depends entirely on your state.

Don't believe what that woman said about juvenile hall, BTW -- that's ridiculous. Penalties are usually minor and you have to be caught and the cop, who has muggers and drug dealers to worry about, has to care.
