How do I convince my parents to let me take drivers ed??? I am a really responsible kid, dont get into trouble, get good grades in school, and dont hang around with kids that would u know, get me killed in an accident, I drove many things be4, including, boats, golf carts, etc, and I feel really good controlling these things. h**l, even when I go to a fun park and ride go karts I know I drive more catuois than everybody elese. I reallize that driving a car is serious, where a boat and go karts are just all fun, but I feel im ready. And here's my big thing, I live in a town, where every kid pretty much gets whtever they h**l they want when they want. Im felling left out here. I know 14 year olds who are taking drivers ed for god sakes!!! How do I convince my parents???

  1. Be a real pain in the back-side!

Ask them to drive you places constantly.

Make them WANT you to get a driving permit!

  2. Sit down with your parents and talk to them and reason with them ask them why they think you dont deserve to take drivers ed and try to compromise with them but try not to bother them to much about it

  3. You can rent a defensive driving video kit @ blockbuster...watch that and then you should try to get to the DMV and get one of those yellow Driving handbooks.

Read it and study it...ask your parents if you could go take the written test. Pass it, and then get your permit to learn how to drive.

Once you have your permit, you just need somebody over 21 to teach you.

Once your parents see that you're taking full responsibility, it should sway them.

That's if you wanna go around taking Driver's Ed...I find the other way an easier way to prove your independence. However if you want to take the course, just do the same, find a list of places offering the course and the prices, and then present it to your parents.

Act as if learning to drive is a job to you...be responsible and plan things out. Show your parents that you're independent and responsible and  you're not some silly teenager looking to get a car to show off...(unless you are). Let them know that by being able to drive, it will open up a whole new level of opportunity for you since you'll be able to get a job to pay for your gas and other car expenses (cars are expensive), volunteer (for resume purposes) and just enjoy the sites and places of your city/town on your own without haveing to wait for your parents to drive you or waiting for the bus.

  4. show them how responsible you are.

  5. First Off I'm 16 Too And I Don't Take Drivers Ed I Just Convince My Mom 2 Let Me Drive Her Car, Lol...Just Keep Asking Or Ask Them To Teach You And You Use Their Car Cause I Know Drivers Ed Cost Alot But I'm Sure That's No Problem So Just Keep Asking And Keep Telling Them You Wanna Learn Or Can They Teach You? Also You Can Even Go To The Library And Get A Student Hand Book To Learn All The Sigsn And Everything But Good Luck And Keep Askin
