  1. yeah you just have to get the title switched over into your name make sure you do that or techinically you dont own anything

and then get a permit first step

  2. Im 14 and I can buy a car :D

I think you have to have a drivers licencse to have a car in your persessions

  3. buy it, yuo might need to have a parent when you buy it

  4. I think you should continue saving and you are better off buying a brand new car such as a Kia or Saturn. Depending how much you have saved you are better off getting a brand new car appose to a used car b/c chances are that you may be running into some problems with that car and you dont even know whats coming. all that money will go to waist. I know you may be despret but if you wait it will be best to do that. Not unless is a classic than buy it and hook your car up little at a time. Just make sure to not trust no one, it doesnt matter who it is because they just want to get rid of the car. Investigate on the prices of new cars versus used cars you will be in shock what the difference may be. DUDE just two more years and get a nice ride and everyone will be hating on you!  GOOD LUCK!

  5. you dont need anything to own a car but if you get caught driving it they will take it from you but you are 16 you should go take drivers ed its really quick online

  6. In wisconsin, you can legally buy a car if you are under 18 with or without a DL or temps, but in order to title it into your name, your parent or legal guardian must co-sign the title for legal ownership.

  7. Yeah, as long as it's not in the city limits, where there are laws that it has to be licensed. Check with your city laws.

  8. If you have the money then have the time to get a liscense

  9. Be sure you have the money to insure it too.

  10. You can buy a car but you really should get a permit do it online its fast and quick way to do it.

  11. You need a parent to buy one...but i highly doubt a car dealer will sell you a car, thats because you need a drivers liscence !!

  12. You can not sign a legal document under the age of 18 without a parent or guardian signing as well, but if you can get one to sign then do it! If you are just paying cash then the only thing you need to do is find out the law for titles in your state to see if your name can go on it. Without a valid DL I don't think you can get it registered in your name, but just call the county clerks office in the county that you live in and they should be able to advise you. In most states you can not buy a car without a DL. In my state you can, but depending on your state it may be different.

  13. Well legally if you buy the car off a friend, you still won't own it. The title has to be signed over to you, and because your not 18, you can't sign the title and get it registered under your name. If you pay for the car and one of your parents signs for the car and registers it under there name, then it will work. But if a parent doesn't sign it, until you turn 18 you can't really legally own the car, even if you paid for it.

  14. Listen to Nini, she gave good advice.

I know for a fact a dealer won't let you drive a car off the lot until you have proof of insurance. When it comes to the title, I doubt you can put it under your name, becuase you're a minor, and you have no credit. You'll probably have to out it under you parents name, and give them the money to make the payments. Don't forget about the tag, which is about $200.

    Good Luck!!
