  1. Healthcare workers and information technologists are in demand the world over.

  2. If a career doesn't require much work then there will be more people able and willing to perform that work.  The more people you have in the workforce the less they are going to be paid.  So you need to figure out if you want to make money or if you don't want to go to much school.  It's not likely you'll be able to do both of those.

A good career would be biotech.  Personally, I wish I had studied genetics or engineering.

  3. Ah, the easy way to make a fortune sitting on your ***, without putting in the work?

    Dream on buster!

  4. RN's are in very high demand and make very good money.  You also get the benefit of a flexible schedule.   Pay is $100K +.

Lab techs and Radiology techs like their jobs.  They are not astounding in terms of salary, but pretty decent, you can work in any city and hours can be flexible.  Plan to make about $50k, though it could be higher in areas where there is a lot of demand.

  5. Well that depends on what you call good money.

The military pays very well now and can be a lot of fun.  They also pay for college while you are in, if you get out, and even have programs like Green to Gold where you can get out and they will send you to school to become and officer.  I spent 4 years in the Infantry and had a blast...literally.

I got out and got a degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design.  There are a lot of places that teach the course and you should be able to get a job just about anywhere doing an unbelievable variety of things.  Everything that is manufactured is pretty much designed on a computer.  Cars, ships, aircraft, golf clubs, surf boards, drum sets, computers, space ships, the list goes on and on.  You can work in pretty much any field if you just look for the right places to go.  There are CAD jobs in virtually every large city and now that Civil engineering is one of the fastest growing job markets in the world, Civil drafting is following suit and can pretty much lead you anywhere as well.

2 year degree plan from most school or even less, and got me where I wanted to go.

  6. IT is always a good field. There is so much advancement.

  7. Seriously consider Waste Treatment or Water Treatment plants.

The US must rebuild many new plants over the next several years to handle our needs.

So, governmental work, very stable work, good salary, great benefits and retirement programs.  Plus, opportunity to relocate wherever you think lkiving conditions would be better.

  8. You should check out careers in:

Healthcare - Medical Assistant, Lab Technologist, etc

    Physical Therapy

    Massage Therapy

    Dental Hygiene

Beauty - Hair Stylist, Makeup Artist

Food Services - Chef or Culinary Artist

    Real Estate Sales

    Information Technology - Programmer

Finance and Investments - Financial Advisor, Broker, Insurance Agent

    Good luck!

  9. Medical careers are the best bet because they will continue to be in demand.
