  1. I think that since you've already had experience with this sport, your going to do great!

Just keep at it, and you'll do awesome  : )

  2. i think people misunderstood your question.

  3. if u surfed as a kid ur gona b fine its like rideing a bike u dont 4get ay u wont b good but ull b able to stand up n turn ay so chill out and get out there

  4. its ok josh, ull be awesome!

  5. As soon as you want to do something, go for it. I just took up boxing at 16 years old and there has been a TON of improvement since then. I am 19 now. Might as well suck at it now rather than later.

  6. I started about 8 months ago on a 9'6" longboard.

    And I love it.

Don't let how old you are hold you back, just because you haven't been doing it as long doesn't mean you won't improve. Just go to a local shop and talk to the people in there about wanting to start. I'm sure they'd be more than likely to help.

    Just give it time bro.

  7. :) I think it's great that you want to re-start surfing.

I started when I was 14, I'm now 17 and I can surf better than a lot of people who started when they were young simply because i practised a lot. I even go in a fair few competitions.

When starting, buy or hire a longboard or softboard as they are much easier to control and learn on, hiring is often a good option as buying a surfboard can set you back at least $400.

  8. You will do fine. Chances are you probably won't be a pro surfer but you should get pretty good. Make sure you take some lessons and buy a longboard. Don't buy a shortboard until you get pretty good.

  9. Hi super,

16 is a great time to get into surfing. Most grommy's rip when they have had a year or two of surfing.

Are you going to be any good? If you give surfing a lot of time then yes. make sure you start from the beginning again. Go practice on a softboard, even get a lesson if you can. One lesson will give you the basics to get out there and start practicing. Again, surfing will take time so stay patient.
