me and my BFF have been in girlscouts since like 1st grade, and i guess we just never stopped, and way when we were in 6th grade we went to Hawaii and we had a blast now were planing another big trip and we are thinking that we want to go on a cruise, may of 2009. At that time all of us will be 17. we are thinking caribean for sure, and eastern sounds like alot of fun, but western sounds good too. What cruise line has the best activitys for older teens, we were hopping to go for 7-9 days, in clean beautiful, and tropical climates. i have been reseaching and carnival sounds good but only if we go on the Carnival Glory ship, Royal Caribean also sounds good and has big boats with lots of activites. are there any other cruise lines that you know of that offer what we need?

-there will be 6 of us girls, and probally 3 parents

-we would like it to be under $1000 a person

-we would like the ports to be safe and fun, possibly english speaking

thank you in advance for all of your help

  1. I would recommend Carnival, and Carnival only!!

You can use http://www.goanywhere.org to book your trip, they have awesome rates!

    Have Fun!!!

  2. Go with Royal Caribbean. They have a lot more activities to offer than carnival, so you're not stuck with just the teen club activities.

  3. Carnival is great!  You don't really get to pick the ship though. it all depends on where your departure port is and where you are going.  I have been on inspiration and it had karaoke bars and a teen club, pools and tons of activities.  Cozumel was a lot of fun.  And to keep it under a thousand a person you will probably have to take a 5-6 day cruise because the prices you find online do not include taxes and gratuities(which are required) and also any insurance you or your parents might think you need.  Also passports will be required, and they cost around 100 or soo bucks to get.

  4. www.ytbtravel.com/fkarengi

it does not matter pick your cruise boat and save money i use it all the time

  5. If you like the Carnival Glory, then you will like the Carnival Conquest, Valor, Freedom and Liberty.  They are all sister ships.  The only difference is the Carnival Freedom and Carnival Liberty have a large outdoor TV.  Here is a photo of the one on the Carnival Liberty ...

This what the pool deck of the Carnival Glory looks like ...

Except for the large TV, the pool decks of all five Conquest class ships (the five listed above) are all the same.

For Royal Caribbean the best ships for teens are the last two Voyager class ships (the Navigator of the Seas and the Mariner of the Seas) or the three Freedom class ships (the Freedom of the Seas, the Liberty of the Seas and the Independence of the Seas - which is currently under construction).

The reason that these five ships are the best is because they offer an expanded teen center.  By expanded I mean it is bigger than the teen center on the first three Voyager class ships (Voyager, Explorer and Adventurer).

  6. I have never been on RC cause my family always uses Carnival. Since. I've gone lots of times and I have to say that the Cayman Islands is always beautiful with its white sand beach and crystal clear waters. Also they are affordable. I barely came from one. It left from Galveston, TX. It was a 7day trip which included Jamaica, Cayman Islands, & Cozumel and was only $600 and that was a room with a balcony. I think the regular stateroom was $450. On the ship there is plenty of activity's but the best part of the trip is planning shore excursions like swimming with dolphins or go through the jungle on a rope, or visiting the Mayan ruins on a 4wheeler. Hope you have fun :)

  7. CARNIVAL

  8. I was on the Glory in Sept and it was beautiful! I when with my family, my husband and our 2 sons (one teen and on pre-teen) ans to be honest we did not even $2000 for the 4 of us

the cruise director, Wee Jimmy is so great, and has a lot of fun with the shows.

we went on the western and look forward to the estern as soon as we can. it is easy to find English in all the ports as they depend on the tourist that are mostly American

the O2 club for teen is great and has a lot for the teens including their own club at nights, on the Glory the Ultra Violet lounge ,it had dancing and an arcade.

and the parents are a must because Carnivals Policy is as followed:

Guests are required to be 21 years old (on embarkation day) to travel. Guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied in the same stateroom by a parent or guardian 25 or older. The exceptions Carnival will make to this policy are

and RC is about the same

I would also call Carnival direct to book I have always gotten a better deal and even upgrades to higher decks in sales after I booked.
