Im 16... how late should i be aloud to stay out till?

right now its only till like 11:30- 12.. but my friends get to stay out pretty much as late as they want or till like 2 anyway should i be aloud to to?

Depends on how mature you're are and what you're parents think. Most kids at that age stay out till like 1 or 2, so you're alright for now, but start heading home when its like 1:30 or so. Unless your friends are like right next door to your house or something, lol.

Does your city have a curfew?  If you're out after curfew, could get you into some trouble.

I would say about 1:00 at night would be a good curfew because then you can come home, so your parents make sure your home, get ready and sneak out till when ever :]

when i was 16 i could do what i wanted, my parents trusted me (probably more than they should have :P ) they trusted my judgment in friends and situations. i could stay out all weekend if i wanted to, they knew roughly where i was and who i was with, anyway. it depends on how much your parents trust you, where you live, who your friends are etc.. 11.30 is a bit early but they are only doing it coz they love you and want to keep you safe. two more years and you can do what you like! hang in there

I think you should be able to to stay out till 12.

Once it hits 12. Its a new day.

Therefore, you should be inside by the new day starts.

And on speical occossians, or very rarely you should be allowed out till 1.

im 16 and as long as i do what needs to be donen i can stay out  till whenever i like really, comprimise with your parents, say 1 for starters and say ull do certain things if they let you out. and keeps to your promises.

Mine was 10 on a school night and 12 on weekends. No you shouldn't be out any later than that. Most cities have a juvenile curfew anyway and if your under 18 and get caught out without supervision, you'll get ticketed and escorted home or even arrested. I know Los Angeles is between 10 pm and sunrise, every day of the week and they will arrest you, no questions asked. Check with your city just to be safe.

I would say 10:30 because that gives her/him time to get home after being dropped off or dropping off friends. Because in my state people under 18 have to be off the road by 11pm.

That was the rule at my house til I was 18. Once my boyfriend was over 18. I still had to be home by 11:30 on weekends and 9pm on school nights.

So don't think you have it so bad! There is no reason for a 16 year old to be out til 2am. That is when bars let out and stupid people are out. (drugs drinking etc) I hated my parents but now realize why they did it!

well  my mum always said i could stay out as long as i liked aslong as i told her where i was and who i was with.

if your just over a freinds house who your parents know , then i mean there no harm in you staying over there late aslong as they dont mind.

Boy I am then a really very old parent - our kids don't go out in school nights - when they finish there matric then they can go out as long as they want - weekends 24h00 sounds good what would you like to do after 24h00 anyway when you are only 16. Ever thought that your parents wait up for you, worry about you being out in the wild wild west, you can teach kids morals and values and trust and believe they will comply to that - but as a parent you still worry - Your mom and dad has to work to earn the money they give to you to gallivant - don't they deserve a good night rest.

where i live you would have to be home by 9pm during the school year and 10 pm during the summer

your a kid there is literally nothing you can do or go after 10pm you need to be at home

all you can do is vandalize and terrorize

I would say you shouldn't stay out on school nights, unless working. Maybe 9.30pm for shopping or something. I think midnight is perfectly reasonable for weekends.

It really depends on how mature and responsible you are. I, myself, don't have a curfew because I do well in school, & I rarely get into trouble. All my parents make me do is call & check in with them.

I've always been able to stay out as long as i wanted so long as i called and told my parents when i'd be back. 10-11 is probably reasonable though if they're telling when to be in bed thats a little invasive for your age especially on weekends and such.

My sister is 16 and she gets to stay out until 11:00 pm. But I mean she is't 100% responsible about staying out later....
