im really good at art, and im pretty good with kids.. its just that this summer i will be super bored, i want something to do.

what do volunteers do at hospitals ?

i also want to meet people who are into charity stuff like me, other kids my age can be into partying, but im not.

i dont want to volunteer at a ret. home. and it has to be safe bc i have overprotective parents ( like, crazy overprotective )- and im not sure i could handle animal shelters ( seeing animals sad... is sad )

  2. Well I know that when you do volunteer at hospitals they usually make you be a candy striper, and when you're that, you get to deliver a bunch of stuff all over the hospital. I guess you could say they make you be a messenger.

You're not allowed to go into the O.R. or E.R or anything obviously, but at the hospital I volunteer at I'm allowed to push around patients in wheelchairs.

but, when you volunteer at hospitals they usually want a commitment anywhere from 2 months to 2 years, so make sure you look for info about that. Also, at some hospitals they make you do training for weeks to months first.

Other volunteer jobs could be work at restoration sites- I've done that and it's really fun (depending where you're at and who you're with)

I know that some people volunteer at daycare centers or help coach little league sports.

    There's quite a variety
