No ,you must be 18. if you are caught under the age of 18 without a parent or guardian you can be in legal trouble. don't take the chance.

At the video store that I work at, I am not required to card you unless there is a "under 17" restriction on your account.  If you are 17 and there is a restriction, you are able to rent R rated movies without a parent present.

I think it depends on the theater, when I was 17 the cinema near my house allowed me and my friends to see R movies when we were 16, but other ones we needed to be 18.

I think you should...If you look 17 or older you will be fine.

They card people at the theater I go to so I was so happy when I turned 18!

of course you can i start it watching R rated movies when i was 13 even in the movies theaters your allowed to watch R rated movies by yourself
