Im 17 goin to cancun with ten other people but they are 18 can i still drink?

i turn 18 july 7th an we leave june 6th. But i read that you have to be 18 to check into the hotel if you are not you have to have someone thats like 23 there. Im just scared that i will not have fun cuz all my friends are drinking an i cant even get in the hotel.

U can probably get away with it when i went i was 18 but no one ever checked my id or anyone elses ever

you dont have to be 18, im 17 all of my friends are 18 and they have bought alcohol for me when i was 16 and not long ago, as long as someone can prove that is 18 you can get alcohol, you can check in a hotel if someone above 18 is in the same room, in some places like bars and night club you cant get in

You can drink alcohol on July 7th. Mexico does have laws.

yes you have to have an adult with you to check in, or at least at the place we stayed when i was 16,  but once you are there you can drink all you want no matter the age!
