Im 17 hes 19 im pregnant can he go to jail?

if im 17 and my boyfriend is 19 the condom broke so im pregnant can he go to jail for that? in the state of new jersey? or can i prevent that from happening i dont want to tell my parents because i think they would throw me out of the house

well i dont know the age limits are in new jersey but it is possible where im from. but it can be stopped here as well as long as it is proven not rape. u have to tell ur parents they are going to find out soon anyway.

the age of consent in nj is 16. so you are fine. and as for your parents tell them upfront, they will respect you for it in the long run. your having a baby time to act like a grown up

Age of consent in New Jersey is 16. (And for a minor under 18, any age is legal as long as the other partner is fewer than 4 years older. So you're fine, and so is he.)

You do need to tell your parents -- they will certain notice eventually that you are pregnant and have baby ....

most states there has to be more then four years between the two people, if one is a minor, for it to be considered statutory rape..

even if that is not the case in NJ your parents would have to press charges for him to go to jail and if you are pregnant they will likely want him working to help support it, you cant do that from jail.

No the legal age is 16 and your over it (just)obviously tell your parents now and that way if they do throw you out you'll have more time to find a place to live
