  1. I'm really sorry to hear about your situation, and although I'm 17 also, I could not imagine being in your situation.  The best advice I can offer is to continue searching for a job; ask teachers at school if they know anyone whose hiring. When you go in to apply for a job, dress nicely.  It doesn't have to be a suit, but a nice collared shirt and khakis looks better than walking in in jeans and a t-shirt.  Try to stay focused in school.  Even though you're two grades behind try your best to pass the classes your already in.  Once you get a job and show some more initiative, things will look up for you.

I'm not really sure how desperate your situation is.  Most 17-year-olds don't have that much money.  But if you really feel like being homeless is a true possibility, continue to stay out of trouble and search for a job.  A lot of organizations are out to help people in your situation; it's just a matter of asking around.

  2. I wouldn't understand why you would need money for school unless it were a private school. Then, your parents should be working and supporting you and making sure you are doing well in school. If you are on your own, go down to your local government offices for help. I am sure you can get some assistance.

  3. Well, you need to start focusing on your school work more. Maybe you got behind in grades because you was too focus on getting a job? Now you have neither good grades or a job... if that was the case. 17 is a okay age to start working, maybe you should talk to your school counsler so you can get more of a one on one conversation.
