Im 17 living in brooklyn ny i have my food protection license why cant i find any interships?

i tried google and everything i see jobs posted but they want college grads im going to 12th grade in september graduating early i cook at home and bake but i can never find anything for me the jobs i see are at bars, friendly's, and other places but i dont know if they offer training can u guys help me out i have dreams of becoming a chef but im also nervous about working in a public environment i have no experience.

Its not a license. You are serv safe certified. Nice to ahve but not a requirement. You have to get out on foot and sell yourself to mom and pop restaurants. there alot of places that would be happy to have you but you have to get out there and sell yourself. You need a resume as well even if it is for an interniship and explain to a manger your overall goal.

Have you considered going to a community college for a program in food preparation?

Also, you will probably have to start with a low-paying job.  Once you have experience you'll have a better shot at a better paying job.
