Im 17 turning 18 in may and i wanna move out, what do u think?

im going to be taken care for financially

my mother is extremely controlling i have no fun in my childhood its depressing

and their not financially able and my home aint happy

DO YOU THINK THE POLICE WILL COME LOOK FOR, I MEAN THEY WILL HAVE NO IDEA WHERE IM AT AND IM PASS THE AGE OF CONSENT (16)

  1. Wait until you are 18.  If you are not being actively abused or neglected, then it's foolish to throw away financial and emotional support just so you can be "free."  

    You'll find being an adult and living on your own doesn't grant you instant freedom or happiness either.  Focus on solving the problems you have, instead of running away into new ones.

    If you do move out, have a plan.  Figure out where you will live, how you will support yourself, how you will improve your life in the long term.


  2. You need to tell your mom you are moving out and why. Don't just disappear, or yes they will come looking for you (probably). I would move out too if I were you! Good luck !
