Im 17 weeks preg with twins is it possible to have a misscarge with one baby and the other one to be alive?

and if so what do they do and how do the keep the live one from not getten hurt what will they do

  1. Yes.  Doctor's care I would assume to make sure the other one is well...


  2. Very possible.  A lot of times depending on the age of the fetus your body and the other fetus will reabsorb the deceased fetus.  It is called the disappearing twin.  Otherwise they will give you a drug to prevent the other fetus from becoming toxic to you.

  3. YEs it is possible, but you need to go see a doctor. The baby can miscarriage due to chromosome abnormalities and the other baby not effected at all.  You keep the other alive by eating healthy, resting, light exercise(unless put on bedrest of some sort)...the things you do for any healthy pregnancy.  See a doc if you think you miscarried one though.
