Im 18 but look quite young. How can i get served without my ID in UK pubs.?

Hi,

Im 18 & about 5 foot 7 or 8 & look quite young. Whenever in pubs in the UK (drinking age 18) i always get questioned & asked 4 my ID. I dont like being questioned and accused of being underage.

How can i get the bartender to serve me without question.

Apart from that - be happy! You are not aging as fast as normal people.

If you're legal what's the big deal.  My 37 year old husband still gets carded occasionally.  Believe me, when you're older, you'll be happy you look younger.

Go in and act like you know what your doing and order a mixed drink. The bartenders are just doing their job. Why don't you have your I.D. if you are of age??

grow a gotee and dont shave for 3 days before hitting the pub

why don't you just carry your id with you or you can go in the pub and show your ID to prove you are 18 and ask them not to keep asking you as it is embarassing.

im 21, 22 in a couple of months. im a mum and i get asked every week!!

Don't worry about it. I'm 20 and I'm always getting asked for ID. I get out my driving licence and thank the person for being so vigilent against under age drinking!

Just be glad you can go there and drink, the legal drinking age here in the US is 21. Just show them your idea and make a joke of it like "yeah, i know i look 12" and laugh it off.. they will too.
